From this Thursday I will be in Ruisseau, Marcon, in the Loire Valley, on I hope, a sun, book, wine, pondering and wandering filled week! I am already getting excited and packing my case, so far-3 chick lit nonsense books from the Library, optimistic suncream and new bright yellow sun dress from Rokit on Brick Lane, that also doubled as my 'Bollywood/Indian' costume for the house party we had at our house last night!

So in a French inspired moment, these are a few things that are totally ace!

Howdy! I had a day last week of test shooting, I treated myself to some lovely blooms from the awesome Urban Flower Company in Crouch End. So many lovely flowers to choose from and I was let into a little secret about why they were keeping some thorns on roses-sworn to secrecy tehe!

Anyway the day was super sunny and bright so I had to wait to take a few shots in the outdoors till the light was less harsh. So in the mean time I shot these indoors on a table top.

The flowers are Astrantia, common name Hattie’s pincushion or Masterwort. The foliage is Salal and Euonymous. (Little help from a mother's knowledge).

This makes me want to have a lot more greenery in my house! Created by Dutchman Fedor van der Falk. The project is titled String Gardens and the 'balls' are created using three-dimensional crochet filled with plaster, soil, moss, and grass, they look like they would swing about in your house and you could play games with them!

The show must go on & it did, even when the heavens opened for our preview evening, none of the photographs came down, even my 7 foot high portraits and people turned out for the exhibition! Liverpool was so much fun over the weekend though, with events and exhibitions happening all over the city for Look2011, the photography festival and fellow photographers from my Lightbox project last year also had their shows! wahey!

My prints that is, I was jumping up and down with excitement when I saw how awesome they looked! Thanks so much to Trevor Olner. Trev is one of the 8, from our Transition group, and he did an amazing job on the printing & has superb attention to detail!

Well Monday started off fine and dandy then torrential rain started and we had to bus our shipping containers into the shelter of the Bootle container depo-much better conditions and a LOT less wind action. You forget you are by the sea in Liverpool!

Ciara Leeming joins a ‘lo-fi, guerilla show’ - and gets the wallpaper paste out

THE prints are printed, the flyers are done, the drinks are in and the show is – almost – in situ. Barring any last-minute crises, it’s now time to kick back and enjoy the ride.

I’m part of an eight-strong group of artists exhibiting at the Look2011 international photography festival, which kicks off this Friday [May 13], and the past six months have been a blur of not only producing the work, but also conceiving and putting together the show.

Early on, we ditched the idea of a using a traditional space – choosing, instead, to take our photography into the public realm and, potentially, a different audience.

We chose to interpret our title, Transition, in several ways. Over the coming days, three 20ft by 8ft shipping containers will be transported to Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle and stacked in formation – creating our makeshift outdoor gallery or installation.

These hulking steel boxes have a somewhat complicated association with Liverpool. While today the city is one of the busiest container ports in the country, the rise of containerisation over the past five decades was the main factor behind the fall in employment on the docks.

Indeed, Liverpool itself is often branded by the marketeers as a city in transition – marching towards a shiny glass and steel future of art, leisure and shopping – a brave new world that not all are convinced by, or even want.

A short walk away, on the fringe of the city centre, the Baltic Triangle is a far cry from all of that. A post-industrial area which, it is hoped, will in time become a hotbed of artists studios and creative enterprise, it too is in flux – but in a way which fits better with our low-fi, guerilla show concept.

Our huge prints will be fixed to the outsides of the shipping containers – where exposure to the elements will mean they are likely to change from day to day. In some ways it’s the anthithesis of an ordinary framed-prints-on-a-wall photo exhibition – hopefully becoming a spectacle in itself.

Our subject matter itself is diverse – ranging from fine art pieces exploring time and memory to street photography, urban renewal and meditations on the nature of photographic reality and issues such as domestic abuse and Dementia.

The first photography festival to be staged in Liverpool, Look2011 boasts shows by both established and emerging artists in venues across the city – all under the strapline ‘photography as a call to action’.

Paul Trevor, Paul Seawright and John Davies are among the famous names taking part, along with work by Simon Norfolk, Adam Broomberg and Olivier Chanarin and the late Liverpool-born photographer and filmmaker Tim Hetheringon, who was recently killed while working in Misrata, Libya.

Transition sits very much on the undiscovered side of the fence, and is one of four collaborations brought together by Redeye, the photography network, and supported by the Arts Council England, under the umbrella title of Lightbox.

Group members – who have been supported throughout this project by photographer AJ Wilkinson – include past and present photography students, fine artists and working photographers.

'Transition' - A Photographic Collaboration

ABOUT TRANSITION

Transition – passage or change from one place or state or act or set of circumstances to another; momentary modulation; change from one style to another (Oxford Dictionary)

Transition is a photographic collaboration which aims to explore the notion of change from a broad range of perspectives – from our subject matter itself to its means of dissemination.

Our eight members’ projects range from the highly personal to the experimental and socially engaged, and Transition also includes work that questions the very nature of photographic reality. We are being guided through this process by photographer AJ Wilksinson.

Taking place during Liverpool’s Look 2011 international photography festival in May, our exhibition will take place within the public realm.

Our images will be displayed inside and outside three large shipping containers placed on a former industrial site minutes from the city centre, turning the show itself into an eye-catching installation piece.

The 20ft by 8ft steel containers that we have chosen to use themselves embody the idea of passage or change, having been transported to Liverpool for the purpose of this festival. They are also likely to have travelled great distances with their mystery cargo over the preceding years.

As our work pasted onto their exterior is left at the mercy of the elements over the course of May it too is likely to change on a daily basis, fitting perfectly with our overall theme.

Transition kicks off on May 13 and will run until May 31. Our official opening is Friday May 13, from 6pm-9pm.

Opening hours will be 12pm-6pm Monday-Friday and 11am-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

I am really excited about this show! I am going to the shipping container depo on Monday to paste up my 7ft high images-so big! Then the show preview is on Friday 13th, lucky for us!

...I have been on a lovely walk and had a day out with my step sister. These jaunts have taken me from my home of Crouch End, through Finsbury Park, riverside walking past the east reservoir, to Allen's Garden in Hackney, then to Stoke Newington and Clissold Park-I intended to go on the Parklands Walk, but I may have gone off the route!

I also went to the sea, to Hunstanton, on the Norfolk Coast, a bracing wind and walk to the sea water meant my choice of white vans shoes was a bad decision! We drove back to Ely, Cambridgeshire via the Queens place-Sandringham. It felt quite appropriate after watching Catherine and William getting married on Friday, which I have to say was a really good day and I hope that they are truly in love, plus her dress was Amazing!

Oh to be back in Leeds for this lovely event! My friends, the madcap 'LordWhitney' have just launched their own studio, I am so excited for them and they kited it out with their usual flair and sophistimication!

The brief for their opening: We asked our guests to use their imagination and create or collect anything in response to the initials CF. During the evening the submissions were placed within the exhibition wall resulting in a spontaneous compendium of drawings, images, photographs and collected oddities! This was to be taken as seriously or as playfully as they liked. We wanted everyone who attended to be part of the exhibition and we had an amazing variety of submissions from a Carrot Fish to beautiful black and white print of a Collodian Flower, we were amazed by them all and would like to say a massive thanks to everyone who took part in the exhibition. My CF was CURLY FRIDGE, in the bottom right of the images above. And my invite said CANTANKEROUS FERRET-love it!

...it was ages since I last blogged, slack Kristy! I have been helping friends out on shoots, assisting some new lovely homes & interiors photographers and shooting the back rooms of Audley End house in Essex-on film so no scans as yet! I do love getting the bronica out, just wish it didnt cost lots money to develop film!

I have moved into a much smaller room in my house in Crouch End-thank god for under the bed storage! I am now eagerly putting friends illustrations and photo swap photos from flickr, into frames, for a much needed salon style picture wall in my room!

I set myself the task of photographing costumed and historical interpreters, giving myself a challenge, as I have not shot many formal portraits before, preferring to shoot documentary style when I can. I am really enjoying this so far and its giving me lots to think about!

He has an image in the permanent collection at the V&A yay!For almost 10 years, artist Richard Galpin has been carefully excavating cities; revealing their hidden geometries and composition. The removal of buildings from their context and vice versa makes Galpin a perfect fit for the virtual pages of Life Without Buildings. His technique could be described as a form of subtractive painting. Like some bizarre combination of plastic surgeon and urbanist, Galpin artfully takes his scalpel to photographs of urban landscapes, slicing and cutting until the image loses its coherence; replaced instead by what he describes as “reconfigured cluster of partially erased cubo/constructivist form.” (A time-lapse video of this painstaking process is availble on his website.) Happy New Year Everyone

How did christmas go so fast!

As ever, the festive season swooshed on by in a haze of flu, cold, train & bus journeys, lots of chocolate, cake and lovely presents! My five days back up north just weren't enough, but I did manage to get in a lovely group xmas dinner with all my friends from art foundation, xmas eve dinner with my dad and family and then xmas day with the mum & step family and then another day taking family portraits with my mums side of the family! Tres good!

I came back to London town for the wedding of two most fabulous friends, Emily & Jonny Back. I would post photos here but I gave all my CF cards to Jonny, fellow photographer, so he gets all the work of editing-tehe! I met Jonny on my photography degree in Preston and suffice to say we have lots of lovely photography pals-so on Mr Back's wedding day, I was the 'Getting Ready' and table decs photographer and then I high-five-tag-teamed it to Jon Applegate to photograph the ceremony and groups, then he passed onto Dave Galpin to photograph guests and the first dance! Very well delegated so we all had time to enjoy ourselves, food favourite was the sticky toffee pudding-amazing!

I have now also started working in a cafe called Hot Pepper Jelly in Crouch End, to pay the bills and all that, this will be my P\T weekend job while I try to be fabulous and all photographer like in the other hours of life! Wahey London!

I was talking with my lovely friend Jade, (while we were out for mouth watering cocktails at Bourne & Hollingsworth on Tuesday evening) about how it doesn't feel like we live in London, until we go into 'central' and then thats what I go all giddy and realise I live in this great city and there are so many exciting possibilities and challenges, in a good way! I even did a little skip onto the tube the other day-don't know why! (it wasn't rush hour!)

I got a Jo Malone candle for christmas, it comes with its own matches-how swish is that! Plus I got some amazing other giftages and books, personal favourite-Jasper Conron, Country - amazing photography by Andrew Montgomery, thank goodness the rents drove me back down, filled the volvo estate up again with all my stuff!

I will be looking forward to my Friday evening out with friends Rob & Jade as we venture to the Curzon cinema in Soho to see 'Somewhere'.

Plot to Kill Lord Whitney!

The Plot To Kill Lord Whitney is a collaborative project between Lord Whitney, writer Cassie Kill and designer Daniel Lancaster.

My great friends in Leeds - The creative duo - Miss Lord & Miss Whitney, have been planning and creating for this great event that took place at The Victoria Hotel, Leeds last week. I feature as the Lobster Girl & as the night of the great Lord Whitney event unfolded, the story that was picked as the most murderous, was the one that involved the Lobster Girl & Vladimir!

"Lord Whitney cordially invite you to an evening of Murder, Mystery and Merriment... Also we invite you the guests to become detectives for the night, speculating and disentangling the mystery of who tried to kill The Lord. After you have gathered your clues and come to a decision, we request you to divulge your theories to us. So our question for you…. is who did it?"

So now we know who did it...

"Although she appears secret and serene on the surface, Lobster girl is harboring a dark secret, for it was she who tried to kill Lord Whitney. But she was not alone in her attempt.

Some fifteen years ago she met and fell in love with Vladimir, the only man to ever have accepted her. They had a child, or children Macha and Dacha, who due to their unusual genes, were born joined at the hip.

Lord Whitney did not prove of the relationship and wanting to take advantage of the twins and their potential for new paying ogglers, he cruelly separated the family and the twins never knew who their parents were.

As added vulgarity, he ordered Lobster girl to endless late night shows and he humiliated her by using her pincers as nutcrackers. The smell of Almonds would haunt her forever!

Vladamir and Lobster Girl, in a stolen moment, hatched their plan to poison Lord Whitney and flee with their twins to live the life they always dreamed of. In one last note to Lobster Girl they agreed to meet after the deed had been done, but Vladimir suspected the Lord had overheard their plan. And he had!

At the suspicious meeting Vladimir had asked 'to discuss pay' the Lord slyly swapped the two glasses set in front of them. He smelt the tell tale smell of Almond on the glass. The poison was odourless but the remnants of the nuts from Lobster Girls pincers was unmissable. So downing his drink the poison rushed into Vladimirs heart, beating with fear and anticipation, Lobster Girl had killed her one true love, and her cruel torturer lived to tell the tale..."

Had a lovely lunch with my friend Rob and 7 of his closet friends at The Modern Pantry, just off Clerkenwell Road-amazing brunch menu-french toast with tamarind, streaky bacon and maple syrup! I found Mr Joel Devlin through the AOP Assistants competition, I felt his shoots stood out amongst the rest of the pack.

Thoughts-I wonder if he took any of the cassette ones without the actual plastic object showing in the edge? It could have maybe made a more organic and graphic shape like the top image?

On another note-I feel ill today so am very glad I am at home-only 3 more days now until I move to London-yay!x

I spent the day with the company of 2 whole boys, Mr James Ross and Mr Richard Gray and we had a marvelous time in Derby. The reason we went-Derby Feste & Shoot Derby-basically we were given a phrase gleaned from a story from the Shoot Experience team and then had 2 hours in which is scour derby for suitable photographic interpretation. We also got to see some crazy people running around on stilts, mad man with suitcase with dogs noises coming from it, watch old films of Derby in the worlds smallest (and hottest!) cinema in the form of a every so tiny caravan and saw the exhibition at Quad. All in all a great Saturday, it was very weird not be to working!

I just found out who will be in my group for stage 2 of this great project-excited! This is my blog entry for Exposure Leeds about Stage 1, so you know what I have been up to!

For those of you who already know Redeye, you will know what a great organisation it is and how excited I was to be selected to participate in Lightbox. This is how I have been describing the course when people asked what I was doing: a development opportunity for emerging photographers. And develop we did! Writing this is a great way to gather my thoughts about the whole experience and to let you know what I learnt.

Wahey! – what can I say, its only been one week since the course finished and I am still feeling energized from the activities and excited in readiness for stage two, which will be a collaborative project with at least ten other photographers – yep that’s right a great big massive collaborative photo something or other for which we have to all try and get along!

These groups are in the process of being decided and I will hopefully keep in touch along the way so you can keep up to date with my highs and mad moments. Hopefully you can see the product of our activities in May for Look 2011 – the Liverpool photography festival. Our brief is to be “Photography as a call to action”!

The week passed by so very quickly. I met all of the other 40 participating photographers and saw a lot of photographic work, which made me want to go out and create better work for myself – always a result. We were all encouraged to bring along our portfolio as networking was the aim of the game. I now have zero business cards left!

What I found interesting was that some of the photographers I met, felt the same awkwardness as I when asked, “what do you do/take photographs of?” It’s a really challenging question. We all seek to define ourselves and yet it seems are unsure of our creative practice. I need to work on this one and figure out my ‘mission statement’, having been convinced to do so in Lisa Creagh’s talk.

It was great to be in an environment where you could talk to others about your work, get critical feedback and return to the mindset of thinking creatively. I have had a few ideas for projects since being back home – my next stage?

As you can see it was a packed week and its great that Redeye got so many talented and enthusiastic people to come and talk to us. We discussed what it is like to collaborate, new media outlets, ways of working, creative thinking techniques, what it actually means to publish a commercial photo book, cuts in arts funding and the general state of things.

Just had a lovely day out in Saltaire with the Mum, www.saltaireartstrail.co.uk spent time going round the houses, open houses that is! because it was Saltaire Arts Trail and as well as art, we got to nosy in peoples homes to-double the fun!

We ended up coming home with some graphic prints by: Adam Cole, www.cozya.co.uk/index.html, seen some great work by fellow photographer Giuseppe Lambertino www.lambertino.net and lovely ceramic artist Jo Lee, www.jolee.uk.com I really liked her modern take on Russian dolls, amongst some other fabulous art creations!

No trip to Saltaire would be complete without visiting Salts Mill, where there was also a photography exhibition in the roof space, which was such a massive and incredible area of the mill, which otherwise I would never have seen. We had brilliant coffee and cake in the Cafe in the Opera section of the mill, my chosen cake was a blueberry sponge with blueberry ice cream and butterscotch sauce, mums was a tiramasu sponge marscapone creation-incredible!

Plus I wore a pretty great outfit of tweed skirt, purple tights & grey marl t shirt-with very impractical shoes for rain!I was drooling over some great boots in the style sections of all the papers over coffee today!get me some sheepskin in a boot with a slight wedge please!

I lent my services to the Media Museum, Bradford earlier on in the summer, I was assisting on in house projects and family activities & also taking part in a family photography week project. This took me to St Ives in Bingley, Harewood House and the marvelous Saltaire! It was all great fun and the families made the week really special for me!

Above is the invite to the exhibition, which will be the culmination of five families hard work! (With my photograph, don't you know!)

I am very sad I will have to miss out on the preview as I was offered a place on a great photography development course in Liverpool, which I am setting off for today! (The lovely Redeye are organising this and Open Eye gallery is hosting with a vast range of great speakers.)

As for the Media Museum, I also devised and ran a drop in workshop session, which was great fun! It was an exquisite corpse project, where images the participants took of themselves were blended/cut and paste style, with images from the museums archives. (not actually called exquisite corpse as I thought this was a bit morbid!) Images shown above!

This great event was for the launch of "I Do Designer Weddings & Events". I already had photographed a wedding earlier on last month, that was planned by the founder of the company Nikki Foster. Her launch of the company was an equal success and fun event with live music from Hannah Trigwell! The evening was stylish & in very contemporary surroundings (held at the The Chambers, 30 Park Place, Leeds), to eat there was an amazing array of canapes & scrummy cakes, brilliant bespoke hats and gorgeous pink flowers, actually you couldn't eat the hats or flowers but they looked amazing!

I made this zine with a poet friend of mine, originally for the exhibition "As is Painting, so is Poetry" at the Norman Rea Gallery at the University of York, I posted images earlier from the opening and here are some actual shots of the zine!

I responded to his 'words' with my imagination and created images from the scenes that played out in my head when reading his poetry.

I recently worked with the lovely wedding planner, Nikki Foster, photographing a wedding at Kings Manor, York. The day was perfect, the sun came out and guests could enjoy champagne in the courtyard and I got some great shots of the bride and groom in Museum Gardens-regardless to say the museum gardens was very peopled! A few bits of tweaking in the old photoshop went on to erase Yorkians enjoying the sun!

Recently read the article in the Guardian with Grace Jones, nothing too special about the text but was just amusing how long she left the journalist waiting for the interview/photo shoot-she is a night owl through and through and is has the most amazing body still, through the shoot she was drinking a bottle or two of red wine and some oysters, such an iconic woman.

Lazy Sunday with Shell & Kristy

Well, yesterday wasn't lazy at all! Impressions Gallery, Bradford run this event "Lazy Sunday" monthly and yesterday was in collaboration with Exposure Leeds. The day consisted of two photo walks around the city of Bradford-one to capture the old and new architecture and the other to visit the 20 sculptures on Bradford's sculpture trail-who knew that many existed in this city!

The day was finished off by a creative workshop led by yours truly and Shell Gorst; a marvellous photographer and fine artist from Leeds! Yesterday was the day for 'Playing with Perspective' and scale with various over sized, undersized and other sized objects supplied by us! The day was great and so so nice and sunny for outdoor walking and photographing!x

Wahey! I am about to be a production assistant on this amazing arts project; a collaboration between artists "The Girls", Selfridges and The Photographers Gallery. I am so excited to be part of this and to meet the artists involved and all the other lovely people helping out throughout the month of April at Selfridges Ultralounge (sounds swanky heh?!)

"The Girls are re-emerging British artists Andrea Blood (b. 1975, UK) and Zoë Sinclair (b. 1976, UK), whose collaboration began in 1996 at Central Saint Martins. After a seven year hiatus, The Girls began making new work in 2006. The Girls' practice focuses on creating private staged tableaux and recording them as self-portrait photography or video; as well as performance art. I am doing some research into photographic and image making workshops & scouring the web for ideas and came across Laura Braun's website, she has done a project with london shops and is now carrying out a workshop related to this at the photographers gallery, london. From her news page, I linked to these images from www.peopleandthings.info, I am really into still life shots at the moment, I think its the calmness of them and how beautiful they can look, I really like that Jane Maxwell-Hylop's images (above) relate to the sequencing of words from the dictionary, something fairly arbitrary that can then create many meanings, it reminds me of working in the library and alphabetising all the fiction works!

Also this work is from the new look British Journal of Photography, a personal project of Dylan Thomas (Top Image on blog, www.dylanthomasphotography.com & http://www.bjp-online.com/public/showPage.html?page=873752), he was assistant to Lord Snowden for 5 years and now has an amazing portfolio of shots that have been in many a weekend supplement and also beautiful shots for World of Interiors magazine. I am not going to tell you where or what these photographs depict, but I for one was so happy to find a project that actually resonated with me & got me excited again, as usual, (in the what kristy likes department) the composition was kept simple and uniform for all the shots with a sinister undertone. Check out page 28 of the new BJP for a full set of 5 images.

The School of Life - "Good ideas for everyday Living"

Why do we read? What is it about the written word that compels us away from the instant visual gratification available to us to glorious isolation?

How To Read

There may be as many reasons for reading as there are books. We may read to leave behind the everyday or to shut out dread, desire or the dull cruelty of life. As Robert Louis Stevenson noted: “If a man reads very hard… he will have little time for thought.”

Or perhaps we read in order to discover our better selves, to challenge our preconceptions and better understand our fellow man? “We feel our wisdom begins where that of the author ends, and we would like him to give us answers, while all he can do is give us desires” said Marcel Proust.

Tonight we will tackle man’s primordial need for narrative. We will explore links between your early reading and your subconscious adult choices. We will discuss how to get more from your reading, how to read better, how to break the shackles of solitary reading and how to embrace new reading forms. We will also examine the moments when discarding the book you are reading is a good idea.

I think this would be a really great class to go to at the school of life, london! The course/talks always seem quite expensive but I guess that's because they get the good guests in and are probably oversubscribed most of the time anyway! this talk would fit in really well with my library work and genuinely sounds really interesting, why do you read?? I read to relax and definitely to try to come out of myself, to distance myself from a situation and become immersed in someone else's story, books are very seductive and I practically always judge a book by its cover.

It was a nervous start for myself but I got really into leading the group with my workshop, entitled "Different Viewpoints" it ended up being a great, successful day at Temple Moor High School, Leeds, with Jenny Buckroyd, the arts teacher saying it was a "Very worthwhile and imaginative workshop!"

I was asked by Chris Nixon, optician extraodinaire from Starbeck, to put spots from an 'in focus' photo onto a 'blurry' photo, this is for a presentation that he is doing for advanced motorists, and is something to do with your peripheral vision and what your minds thinks you see, I am very intrigued to read the presentation myself.

Did you know that if you have a stroke and there is damage to one of your eyes and your peripheral vision is gone, its not just black down that side of your eye, the mind actually will create colours/objects from what it has seen before, so if you are walking along a street with trees that you have been down before the stroke, then your minds eye will fill in green for example?! I hope I got this correct anyway!

So I thought I would post a blog item, crazy I know! I thought it would send me off with a mellow mood for the day as I have to tackle writing a presentation and then playing a badminton match!(the less mellow portion of the day). I havnt posted for a while it being christmas and then the new year and then being busy and blowing my nose ever 5 seconds with a cold!

I had a great trip to wales with the boyfriend over the festive period, lots of food and good pub lock ins and massive grandparents tv's (70 inch anyone!)! Santa brought me more than I could have asked for including the lovely viktor and rolf perfume and a 50mm lens, which is amazing, makes my camera seem less intrusive and I am taking more pictures as a result, 1.8 is beautiful!

Had an amazing three course tea in Summerbridge, North Yorkshire, on New Years Eve, matt and I made, (actually steve our friend helped more!) pea and mint soup for starter, which involved blending lots and seeing what happened! but it was ace and the food was lovely, dauphinoise potatoes yum yum and amazing chocolate cake to finish and everyone talking about i-phone apps, as the boy got an i-phone for christmas-jealous, no, moi?!

Had a really great day today at impressions, so many lovely jubbly stalls and guess what...! I swapped a cushion for an ace print by the lovely Kate Thornton, I now have a brilliant symetrical black and white and yellow bird collage and this greetings card in the bottom right in pink, swapped for some garlands made from books (cliff richards autobiography anyway!recycle stations, it was going to be thrown out so I got in there!)

Just got the new elle decoration, christmas special, oh how I love the gold, this jug is AAAAAMMMMMAZZZING!I blogged forever ago about the white version which i still love and will go marvellously with my crushed paper cup (made of porcelin), apologies for the picture but it took me ages to find it online! Also this kiehls & kaws collaboration is great, display toiletree pieces you know it! Everything on the seletti site (link above) is brillaint, domestic objects turned display pieces, I swoon!

Just had a manic eve of ordering christmas cards from moo, just got my business cards done for the first time from their website and I am impressed especially how quick they came and good quality, think they have bucked up their act, as when I first heard of them about a year ago i ordered some postcards and they weren't as fabulous as I would have hoped! The cards are inspired by text really, poems, simplicity with words and the texture of books yay! I shall blog them when they arrive.

Plus my marvellous mum has purchased a shiny new sewing machine that I am using and I am making vintage tweed cushions and decorations watch this space, i am excited anyway!xx night night x

I am an official artist on the artist carousel project, run by art forms and in its second year, I will get the chance to work with three high schools in the Leeds area collaborating with the art and design teachers on workshops related to my practice yay!
